A Superb All-Metal Two Seat Basic Trainer

An affordable entry level metal two seater, designed to give you everything you would expect in a modern trainer.

Originally a brilliant French design from the Robin factory in France and now being manufactured to the highest standards in New Zealand by Alpha Aviation Ltd in a brand new factory.

The design of the new 118hp 'Alpha' trainer relies on a simple, rugged all-metal airframe (That of the FAA A Category R2160, tested to the +6/-3.5 G acrobatic limits) carried on a strongly built oleo-pneumatic landing gear. The engine is an O-235 Lycoming, renowned for its modest thirst (21-23 litres/hour) offering an unmatched 2400 hour recommended TBO + 20% extension to 2880 hours.

Its modern lines, with low wings and a bubble canopy giving unrivalled visibility, its comfort and responsive handling qualities make it the perfect training aircraft for pupil and the instructor alike.
