Wadswick is an immaculate grass strip with a prominent landmark in the form of a solar farm located at its south eastern border.
There is a hedge at the east end and a fence at the west end, so the useable runway is less than the measured 630 metres. Video below.
The Forage restaurant, adjacent to the shop and shooting simulator, has abundant interior and exterior seating and a broad ranging menu that should satisfy all tastes.
With a really good on-site restaurant plus other attractions, Wadswick is a great place to visit. Residents warn of the possibility of wind shear due to trees and buildings if the wind is not directly down the runway, so be aware of this.
