Goodwood aerodrome is located within the 1,200 acre Goodwood estate, itself surrounded by the Sussex countryside. The aerodrome is very close to the town of Chichester and its harbour.
Previously RAF Westhampnett, the aerodrome is still home to Spitfires and a Harvard, has a flying school, a newly rebuilt aviation centre with restaurant, and three immaculate grass runways.
There is an observation area on the roof of the aviation centre and restaurant that gives a good view of activity on the airfield and the surrounding motor racing track.
Landing fee for our 1,100 Kg Robin DR401 was £19·90 inclusive of VAT when we last visited in June 2023.
