The Robin Aircraft DR401/135CDI combines simplicity, comfort and safety with dramatically improved cost-effectiveness and reduced noise and vibration levels compared to aircraft with petrol engines.

The 135CDI combines the famous qualities of the Robin DR401 airframe with a highly efficient, economical, quiet and reliable engine. Sixteen times more reliable than Avgas engines1, Continental diesel engines use Jet A-1, automotive diesel and most military jet fuels all in any mixture, guaranteeing worldwide availability of fuel.

Electronically managed, fuel injected and liquid cooled, the thoroughly modern Continental aero-engines are free of the dangers of carburettor icing and vapour lock, and safe from thermal shock on low power settings. Further enhancing safety, a separate radiator for cabin heating eliminates the risk of carbon monoxide toxicity.

Turbocharging maintains power delivery at altitude and the automatic variable pitch three-bladed propellor ensures optimum performance both in climb and cruise.

The Continental 2·0 135 hp engine will happily lift a useful load of around 340 kg; enough for five and a half hours of fuel, three adults (or two adults and two children) and a full load of luggage. Burning only 20 litres per hour of Jet A-1 or automotive diesel at 75% power, and with only 100 hour or 12 month checks, the economy of the 2·0 is particularly attractive to flight training organisations looking for a reliable and robust training aircraft.

Whilst all Robin Aircraft trainers are renowned for their excellent handling characteristics, ruggedness and low operating costs, the Robin Aircraft DR401 120 Lite has been built for very low purchase and operating costs.

Robin Aircraft trainers are a favourite of flying schools, combining the safety of a certified aircraft with the legendary dependability, robustness, ease of flying and outstanding visibility of a Robin. The DR401 Lite now brings new aircraft purchase within easier range.

The Lite retains the familiar Robin DR401 aerostructure with a reduced mass. A robust certified 2-seat training aircraft for the
price of an uncertified one.
An exceptionally economical 3-seater ideally suited to flying training:

Combining the same excellent handling characteristics and ruggedness that typify all Robin aircraft, the new Rotax powered Robin DR401 112is is also exceptionally economical to operate.

Suitable for ab-initio and instrument training with an appropriate fit, the three seats make this aircraft particularly suitable for flying schools who want the economy of a two-seater but like to 'back seat' for training.
An exceptionally economical 2+2 ideally suited to flying training:

The Robin Aircraft 120A is renowned for its excellent handling characteristics, ruggedness and low operating costs. It is powered by a reliable Lycoming 4-cylinder engine of 120 hp.

Their versatility and relaxed performance makes them a great favourite for aeroclubs and flying schools where they are operated for basic training,navigation instruction and instrument flying as a 3/4-seat, low cost, general purpose aircraft.

The airframe is the standard DR401 design with four seats; the '2+2' relates to the engine power and MTOW.
A full adult four seater for touring or training:

The Robin Aircraft 160A is renowned for its excellent handling characteristics, ruggedness and low operating costs. It is powered by a reliable Lycoming 4-cylinder engine of 160 hp.

With a MTOW of 1,000 kg, its versatility makes it a great favourite of aeroclubs and flying schools where it is operated for basic training, navigation instruction and instrument flying, and as a three to four place, low cost, general purpose aircraft.

In contrast to the 160A Long Range, the160A has a high lift, low drag, wing, no wing tanks, and no external luggage compartment door as standard.
