Rotax 916iS for the Robin DR401
CEAPR announces their Rotax 916iS program for the Robin DR401 at Aero Friedrichshafen 2025
Ideally suited to unleaded aviation fuel, the 916iS with FADEC controlled constant speed propeller, 160 hp peak power (137 hp continuous), provides an alternative modern engine to the Continental Diesel 155CDI for those who do not have access to Jet A-1.
The Rotax engine will be available both as an OEM fit in new aircraft and a retrofit option to existing aircraft with Lycoming engines.
The prototype is now flying and certification for the Robin DR401-916ISC is expected later this year.
